Discovered when it was on TV the other day that The Rock did a movie where he becomes The Tooth Fairy appropriately titled 'The Tooth Fairy' funnily enough. What makes an actor take up roles like these? is it just a platform to get bigger roles - he was a pretty big deal way before this anyway back when he did 'The Mummy' -, or maybe he had kids of his own and just wanted to make a movie for kids? Who knows.Anyway, it's got me thinking of other movies out there where actors play roles which are drastically different to their typical on screen personae or even how they are in real life. Another that comes to mind is Robert De Niro in 'Meet the Parents'. Welcome to mention others. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/klg5xM4

Movies where actors have played a role far removed from their 'typical' parts.
