Scarlett Johansson has had an extraordinary career and she’s only 35

I realise this might come off as a weird post because it’s not like Scarlett Johansson doesn’t get a tonne of appreciation anyway, but I just watched Marriage Story and found out she’s only just turned 35, and had some stuff to say about her.Not only has she been a household name for years and been in some of the highest grossing movies of all time (including the highest grossing movie of all time), but she’s also been in a number of critically acclaimed films too, like The Prestige, Lost In Translation, Marriage Story, Her, Isle of Dogs, Chef, Jojo Rabbit and Under the Skin.Spanning many different genres and giving performances as an action star in the Avengers movies, presenting us with one of the best performances of the year as a broken woman in Marriage Story (seriously she’s FANTASTIC), giving an entirely vocal performance in Her and a purely physical performance in Under the Skin, she’s got talent, range and knows the right projects to pick.She’s already worked with Wes Anderson, Taika Waititi, Noah Baumbach, the Russo brothers, the Coen brothers, Spike Jonze, Sofia Coppola, Christopher Nolan and more. I couldn’t believe it when I found out she only just turned 35. Don’t get me wrong she looks great, but given the amount of work she’s done, for how long she’s been starring in movies and for how cemented her name is in the film world, I just figured she must be at least in her early 40’s.Personally I can’t wait to see what else she does in the future. When I hear she’s attached to something now I’m pretty much always going to see it. I heard she might be making her directorial feature debut soon (she made a short around 10 years ago called These Vagabond Shoes) and if she’s even half as good at directing as she is at acting, then that should be one to look out for. Not that being a good actor always translates to being a good director, but she clearly has an eye for what makes a great story.Edit: had to mention just how great she is in Marriage Story.
